Privacy Policy
This policy describes how the Hi-Filter app for iOS handles your data. In short: everything the app handles stays on your device, and nothing is uploaded to us.
The Hi-Filter app (iOS)
The short version. In the app, we do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on our servers. All encryption and decryption happens on your device. The app makes no network requests.
What data stays on your device
Everything the app handles stays on your iPhone. Nothing in this table ever leaves the device.

What the app does not collect
- We do not collect your photos.
- We do not collect your password.
- We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or any analytics.
- We do not log which features you use.
- The app has no server. There is nothing to collect from.
Permissions the app asks for
- Photos library (read): To import photos that carry a magic marker (your hidden photos), and to load any photo you want to use as a cover. We only access the photos you select.
- Photos library (write): To save the filter photos you create back to your library.
The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other permission.
Retention and deletion
We retain nothing on our side, so there is no data of yours for us to delete. To remove everything the app has created on your device, either:
- Reset the app. In the app, open Settings → Reset App. This immediately deletes every photo and album in the app and clears the current hidden password.
- Delete the app. Removing Hi-Filter from your device makes iOS delete all of its app-private storage.
There is no cloud copy and no recovery option. If you forget your password, your hidden photos cannot be recovered — not by us, not by anyone.
Third parties
The app does not contain third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not share, sell, or transfer data to any third party, and we have no parent or subsidiary companies that receive your data.
Children's privacy
The app is rated 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. Because the app collects nothing today, the only meaningful change we could make to it would be to start collecting — and we have no plans to do so.
